Entertainment Weekly has learned that Scream franchise writer-director Kevin Williamson has approached Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette about reprising their roles in a new Scream trilogy.
Williamson is developing the films that will bring back many of the characters from the original movies, which might start production this Autumn.
No word on whether Neve Campbell's character will return.
Yet more film news that makes me wonder why are they bothering. I really thought that the Scream series had run its course and said everything that needed to be said.
I could maybe understand it if they made a new trilogy with new characters who reference the more recent horror films and torture porn that has been popular since the last film.
What are your thoughts on a Scream 4?
