Russell Crowe as Dr Watson in Guy Ritchie movie?

News in The Sun that Russell Crowe may be Dr Watson opposite Robert Downey Jr in the Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes movie.

It is The Sun so take this with a pinch of salt. However, the Ridley Scott Nottingham that Crowe was to star in has fallen through so he is free for something like this. Personally, I think he would make a great Watson...hmm, just realised there was a rumour when this Sherlock Holmes reboot surfaced that Crowe was going to be playing Holmes. Funny how things change.
