More lovely images from the excellent looking Astro Boy. MTV had them and below we see Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage) and Dr. Elefun (Bill Nighy).
In the picture below we see President Stone (Donald Sutherland) and a big robot.
The film tells the story of a scientist, Dr. Tenma (voiced by Nicolas Cage) who replaces his lost son with a powerful robot (Freddie Highmore), who must then come to terms with his own identity as a child, a robot and, most importantly, a hero.

A not very action orientated photo from Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables. No explosions, no guns, no fights, just two dudes tattooing and sitting on motor bikes. I wonder if they like snails or oysters?
We are starting to see more and more of Mike Newell's Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Luckily, they are getting more exciting as time goes.
Inglourious Basterds premiered in London last week. I had been invited to it and the press conference, but was unable to make it....grrr!

I have been looking forward to the Solomon Kane film for a long time. Word has it the Michael J. Bassett directed film is badass with James Purefoy doing a great job in the title role.
Here are some new photos from the Dr Who shoot. They include our first look at the new sonic screwdriver, Matt Smith as the Doctor, Alex Kingston as River Song and Karen Gillan as the new companion.
The sonic screwdriver looks a little sleeker than the old one. I wonder if the old one has been upgraded and passed to River Song?
io9 had the photos and they mention that the wreckage is a ship called the Byzantium - River Song mentions the crash of the Byzantium when she meets David Tennant's Doctor.
Not sure if Matt Smith is in character in the photo above or if he has just messed up his lines.
Comic-Con International has a few cool things already and now Seth Rogen made a special appearance to unveil The Green Hornet's Black Beauty car, along with director Michel Gondry, producer Neil Moritz and co-writer Evan Goldberg.
Here is the first look at Jackie Earle Harley as Freddy Krueger via /film and the poster via First Showing.
Thirty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa’s District 9 as the world’s nations argued over what to do with them.
Marvel Studios has premiered a new photo of Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2 on Yahoo Movies. Johansson plays Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow, who is hired as Stark’s assistant which inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who’s been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries.
Yesterday I posted some new posters for the video game adaption of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
Well we had the first look at Matt Smith as the Doctor earlier today and now here is a glimpse at a guest star from the new series. Yep it is River Song (Alex Kingston), the mysterious archeologist who has apparently met the Doctor many times in her past — and his future.
With Stephen Moffat at the helm it should be a nice twisty turny path we follow. Also notice how the TARDIS has a slightly different look to it. The next thing we are waiting to see is a look at the new interior. I really hope they explore the infinite inside of the TARDIS as some point.
What are your thoughts on River starring in the new series?

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is the next installment in The Chronicles of Narnia. Prince Caspian was not so good, but out of the books Dawn Treader was my favourite. Lots of strange creatures and derring do on the high seas.
EW have debuted some new photos from Iron Man 2. On the left you can see Don Cheadle, who replaced Terrance Howard as Col. James ‘Rhodey’ Rhodes. Behind him is Sam Rockwell as weapons manufacturer Justin Hammer.
It has been a while but here is another look at Jake Gyllenhaal, playing Prince Dastan in Jerry Bruckheimer's epic Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, due out on 28th May 2010. The film also stars Ben Kingsley and Gemma Arteton.
The film focuses on a crafty fox (voiced by George Clooney) who finds himself and his family targeted for death by the three dumb, plug-ugly farmers who tire of sharing their chickens with the critter. The Fantastic Mr. Fox features the voices of George Clooney, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and Meryl Streep.
This morning I posted the blurry photos of Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow in Iron Man 2. Now I have the much better versions from EW.com. The costume does seem spot on from the comic, but still not sure about Johansson as Natasha.
The photo below (via Topless Robot) shows Gwyneth Paltrow who plays Pepper Potts. Obviously there is a bit of Iron Man tech going on there, but not sure if it is simply for the photo or whether Potts gets a suit or an implant as she has recently had in the comic.
Still it is all good stuff from the house of Iron Man 2. Can't wait to see it.
