Batgirl, Catwoman, Wonder Woman...I'm sorry what was I talking about?

Apparantly this is an advert for a Mexican department store. However, it features three lovely ladies dressed up as Batgirl, Catwoman and Wonder Woman and in the grand scheme of things is that not the most important thing to remember.

The Cut - Serious stuff.

Actress Keira Knightley is seen suffering a brutal assault in a new advertisement highlighting the issue of domestic violence.

The two minute TV and cinema ad, for the charity Women's Aid, shows the star being beaten by her partner after she returns home from a film set.

It is directed by Joe Wright, who worked with Knightley on Atonement.

You can find further information on domestic abuse at http://www.womensaid.org.uk/

Are they really saying that it will trim a bush?

This is the ad for the new Wilkinson 2-in-1 Quattro for Women Bikini. I'm posting this purely because the whole bush being trimmed thing made me laugh.

Thanks to Alan S for pointing it out.

If you think the 118 247 advert is familiar then it must be Magical Trevor

Apparantly, Weebl, who made the original Magical Trevor, also made the recent advert for 118 247. Here is Magical Trevor in all his glory.

All together now:

Everyone loves Magical Trevor
'Cause the tricks that he does are ever so clever
Look at him now, disappearin' the cow
Where is the cow heading right now?

Taking a bow, it's Magical Trevor
Everybody seen that the trick is clever
Look at him there with his leathery, leathery whip!
It's made of magic, and with a little flip

Yeah, yeah, yeah, the cow is back
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the cow is back
Back, back, back from his magical journey
Yeah!

What did he see in the parallel dimension?
He saw beans, lots of beans, lots of beans, lots of beans. Oh, beans lots of beans lots of beans lots of beans.
Yeah, yeah!

Thanks to Alan S for sharing.

8 Kilomètres, Dial Hard and Vingt-Quatre Heures are the originals. Someone call Eminem, Bruce Willis and Keifer Sutherland

Did you enjoy watching 8 Mile, Die Hard and 24? Did you love the originality of them all.

What if I was to say they were all based on forgotten classic films from the 1960's and below is the proof.

You would no doubt say, "No Live for Films, they are not, you are being silly. They are in fact clever little adverts based on the 2 films and TV show you mentioned done in the style of 1960's films. Don't try and fool us again with your clever ruse."

I would then say, "Oh! Look at the monkey." I would then run off and jump into a waiting taxi.

You would be right though. However, they are nicely done spoofs, riffs, homages on the 3 classics. They are from http://www.smoothoriginals.com and are ads for Stella Artois 4%. In fact they are not the full advert, they are simply teasers for the 4 minute ads which are due out next week. Cheers to Jonathan for sending them my way. Let me know what you think of them.

Viral Campaign for Resident Evil 5 involving body parts

Now I have heard of all the various viral ad campaigns for films and video games over the past few years, but this one is a new one to me. Apparantly you can win a trip to Africa (scene of Resident Evil 5) if you find the body parts hidden around London. It's been set up by Capcom. This is what they say on their blog:
Majini *coughZOMBIEScough* have gone through a small part of London, leaving behind a trail of remnant body parts from their victims. Find the bodies on the morning of Thursday March 12th and win a vacation to Africa.

Register at mailto:residentevil5@capcomeuro.com to be sure to receive the clues as to where the remains can be found.

Find as many of the bodies as you can, or what is left of them, and return them to Westminster Bridge by 11am.

The body parts will be hidden at locations near Trafalgar Square, within this area.
And this is where you should take them.

Alert us to your presence by standing on the bridge, holding the artificial body parts over your head and shouting "Kijuju!" We will be there, watching you, and will approach when you make yourselves known.

Points allocated for each body part - 2 points for arms, 2 points for legs, 3 points for torsos , 5 points for a head. The more body parts you find and bring to us, the more points you get. The player(s) with the most points by 11am win the trip to Africa.

The game begins at 9am. Good hunting - we will see you on the bridge. Take pictures, take video, have fun. And don't wear your best clothes - it's going to be messy.
Thanks to Pat for sending me this. Sounds most interesting, if a bit odd. I do hope the Police are notified before it takes place. If any of the LFF readers in London are able to take part let me know how you got on and send me photos.

100ft Dr. Manhattan and the Comedians Badge arrive in London - Amazing Water Projection

This dramatic, one-off spectacle was created using the worlds biggest water screen projector. The water screen, moored especially for this occasion in the middle of the Thames between the London Eye and The Shell Building, created an enormous vertical screen of water that extended to 72 feet in height and 100 feet across. Specially created, never to be seen again Watchmen footage, was projected onto the screen to showcase Dr Manhattans translucent and shimmering form in dramatic and gigantic effect an excellent and exciting medium to see Dr Manhattan in all his super human glory as he hovered over the city in true Watchmen style.

Below is video footage of the event.

Laughter Is Everything - Dark Knight Fan Film

Bryant Hodson, who made the Watchmen Page 5 film that I featured earlier, also made the above fan film featuring the Joker.

If it seems familiar that is because it is based on the Bruce Campbell Old Spice advert below (I also like this other advert Campbell did - the one where he sings Hungry Like the Wolf).
