Dylan Dog - Our first look at Brandon Routh as the Nightmare Investigator

Here are the first photos from the Kevin Munroe helmed, Dead of Night. It is based on the horror comics by Tiziani Sclavi that feature the horror detective Dylan Dog.
Dylan Dog is played by Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) and the pictures do show a similarity between the comic book character and the actor. According to /Film the original character design was based on Rupert Everett - The Everett that existed before the facial reconstruction altered him almost beyond recognition!
The sickly looking character below is Sam Huntington as Dylan's undead sidekick Marcus.
Finally, we have the always cool looking Taye Diggs as the Vampire leader, Vargas.
Peter Stormare and Kurt Angle are also in the film as a pair of werewolves.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it will be any good? Is Routh a convincing leading man or is he forever linked with the mediocre Superman Returns?
