The Dead Outside - Cool poster and trailer

With the cause of the outbreak and the fate of the wider world largely unknown to him, Daniel, a man desperate and recently bereaved, finds refuge in a crudely fortified but once-working farm in the Scottish countryside. In the face of evidence of recent life, and recent killings in the form of a mass grave, something is not quite right with Braehead Farm.
Unexpected company arrives in the form of a mysterious young girl, who claims the farm as her own. As Daniel struggles to come to terms with his new life, and keep a grip on his own fragile sanity, the mysteries surrounding the farm and its young inhabitant are revealed to run far deeper than he first thought. In a desperate world, true evil lurks in the most unexpected of places.

Elfie Hopkins And The Gammons - Teaser Trailer for Jaime Winstones new horror film
Yesterday I mentioned the new film, Elfie Hopkins And The Gammons, starring Jaime Winstone. She plays Hopkins "a teenage misfit and 'wannabe detective' Elfie Hopkins, whose investigations are limited to annoying small-minded residents of the rural village where she lives, until the charismatic but suspicious Gammons family arrive."
Now Quiet Earth have dug up a teaser trailer for the first British 3D horror film.
Have a look - what do you reckon? Good or bad? I'm not sure if it will just be a lot of style over substance. Seems a little too self aware from the trailer.

Jaime Winstone to star in first British 3D horror film

Ryan Andrews is directing for producers Michael Wiggs and Steve Matthews of Size 9.
Andrews tells the site that his film will be "a quirky horror and an eclectic mix of comic book characters, British pop culture and fantasy setting in an unusual and twisted world."
The film is the first UK horror production to be shot in 3-D. According to Screen Daily, Winstone "will play a teenage misfit and 'wannabe detective' Elfie Hopkins, whose investigations are limited to annoying small-minded residents of the rural village where she lives, until the charismatic but suspicious Gammons family arrive."
Judging by the description this will either be really good or absolutely embarrasing. Which way do you think it will go?

The Collector - Trailer
The poster I recently posted for Marcus Dunstan's The Collector was very cool. Now, thanks to Bloody Disgusting, we have the trailer.
The slasher follows the story of handyman and ex-con Arkin, who aims to repay a debt to his ex-wife by robbing his new employer’s country home. Unfortunately for Arkin, a far worse enemy has already laid claim to the property – and the family. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked “Collector” in a maze of lethal invention – the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg – while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.
What did you think of that?

Human Centipede - All kinds of wrong but long live the new flesh

Outside the more outré work of Takashi Miike and David Cronenberg, you won't have seen anything quite like Dutch avant-garde artist Tom Six' totally bizarre off-the-wall oddity. Internationally respected Siamese twin surgeon Dr. Josef Heiter has a demented vision for mankind's future existence. He wants to remove human beings' kneecaps so they have to exist on all fours and then surgically graft them mouth-to-anus to form a centipede chain. When two stranded female Americans arrive at his luxury home-cum-hospital looking for help, his long-gestating plan swiftly moves into chilling action with a shocking force. Kidnapping a third Japanese male tourist he begins the tissue matches, teeth removal and buttock moulding to create his triplet creature… The First Sequence in Six's intended trilogy features truly unforgettable imagery, clinically dazzling direction and a so-far-round-the-bend mad doctor performance from German superstar Dieter Laser you'll scream. Behold the grotesque New Flesh. If you dare!

What do you think of that concept? It's okay if you feel a little bit sick and apologies for sharing. It is one of those things that once you've read about it you have to tell someone else - lucky for you I have this web site :)

Triangle - What is the secret on the ship?

When Jess hits a seagull on a drive to the local harbour, little does she know that it is a harrowing omen of things to come. She sets sail on a yacht with a group of friends and already things are not as they seem - she just cant put her finger on why.
Her suspicions are heightened when the yacht hits a storm and the group is forced to board a passing ocean liner to get to safety - a ship Jess is convinced shes been on before. The ship appears deserted, the clock on board has stopped, but they are not alone. Someone is intent on hunting them down, one by one. And Jess unknowingly holds the key to end the terror.
Have a look at the trailer and let me know what you think is the cause of what is going on. I reckon it is some kind of Timecrimes thing.

Blood Trail - You have to watch this. Definitely not a kids animated movie

This is a stunning piece of CG animation. It blew me away, but be warned it is very gory and scary so make sure the kids are away from the computer when you watch it.
Creative studio Nathan Love, in collaboration with Perspective Studios, are the people behind this three-minute trailer for Blood Trail.
It is based on writer Matt Cochran’s screenplay and is expected to be developed into a feature film, video game and/or graphic novel. I hope we get a full feature out of it as it had me on the edge of my seat by the end of the trailer. Well worth a watch.

The Collector - Cool poster

Naturally, things don’t go according to plan and our anti-hero finds himself trapped by a masked “Collector” who sets a series of traps that the studio describes as “the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg,” all while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.
Producer Mickey Liddell explains: "Marcus Dunstan (Saw IV, Saw V) and Patrick Melton have come up with a unique twist on the home invasion thriller that we think will have people gripping their seats," says Liddell. "With its stylized blend of action and horror, the movie delivers on every level."

Pandorum - New creepy poster for sci-fi horror film

The terrifying thriller follows two crew members who wake up on an abandoned spacecraft with no idea who they are, how long they've been asleep, or what their mission is. The two soon discover they're actually not alone -- and the reality of their situation is more horrifying than they could have imagined.
Still no idea if the things they see are real or all in their mind. Is Dennis Quaid's character a figment of Ben Foster's imagination?
It is due out on 4th September and directed by Christian Alvart, the film stars Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Antje Traue, Cung Le, Norman Reedus and Cam Gigandet.

Billy is Surviving Evil - He's a cool dude

Billy Zane, one of the coolest actors out there who has never achieved the greatness he should have had. Mind you he has been in some really dire films. As Chisholm always said, he would have made a great Bruce Wayne / Batman back in the day. Plus my Wife can never understand why Kate Winslet would want to go with DiCaprio when she had the Zanester there all studly in his dinner jacket.
In this new film Zane is a TV survival host whose show taping on a remote Philipine island becomes that much more dangerous when they disturb the domain of an Aswang, a hideous ghoul of Filipino lore.
A TV documentary crew arrive on a remote island in the Philippines to film a survival special. Their back-to-the-wild adventure proves to be more terrifying than they ever could have imagined.

[REC]2 - Teaser
Not one to watch with the kids around but it is does look very good. It appears to be a direct continuation from the first one, but this time, instead of a TV crew the cameras are being carried by soldiers sent in to clean up the place.

Grace - Red band trailer for the dangerous baby film
Eight months pregnant, and preoccupied with both a natural childbirth and a pure-body lifestyle, Madeline Matheson, played with merciless compassion by Jordan Ladd, deflects her demanding mother-in-law’s insistent pressure for standard hospital treatment, instead opting for the peaceful companionship of a trusted midwife. Though reluctantly compliant, her husband remains supportive of her choices until a sudden tragic accident leaves her unborn baby lifeless inside of her. Madeline remains determined to carry the stillborn baby to term, where she miraculously wills the delivered corpse into life. But it is not too long before the increasingly isolated mother realizes that something is not right with baby Grace, and she must make horrible sacrifices to keep her living.

Razortooth

Deep in the Florida Everglades, something is alive that should have died eons ago. Something is feeding when it should be full. Something is moving, in ways that seem all but impossible to pursuers. Its moving in the dark.. under the surface of the waters? with an appetite that makes no distinction between man or beast.
Now its up to an unlikely band of locals, an animal control officer, a small town sheriff and a scientist's team of college youth to stop the threat...before its too late.
