Black Death - Sean Bean stars in Middle Ages Horror

British director Christopher Smith (Severance) is in pre-production on a post apocalyptic film based in the middle ages called Black Death. Sean Bean and Rupert Friend are confirmed to star.

Medieval England has fallen under the shadow of the Black Death. In this apocalyptic world, filled with fear and superstition, a young monk called Osmund is charged in leading a fearsome knight, Ulric and his group of mercenaries to a remote marsh. Their quest is to hunt down a necromancer - someone able to bring the dead back to life. Torn between his love of God and the love of a young woman, Osmund discovers the necromancer, a mysterious beauty called Langiva. After Langiva reveals her Satanic identity and offers Osmund his hearts desire, the horror of his real journey begins.

"Sean Bean and Rupert Friend are confirmed to star." By confirmed, do you mean that the ink is dry on the contracts or are negotiations still going on, cuz normally, Sean's people don't confirm he's in anything until he's on the plane on his way to the location??? Where did you hear he was "confirmed"???

Hi Sable899 thanks for visiting.

I got the news from Quiet Earth - thought I'd added the link but obviously not.

Also IMDB have the news as well

I'm assuming it is all good to go, but as we all know, in the world of films things can change at any minute. I'll have a dig and see what else I can find out
