:Visual-effects specialist Charles Gibson will make his directorial debut with the family comedy The Goblin, scripted by Geoff Rodkey.
According to Variety the story revolves around a suburban family that moves into its new home only to find a curmudgeonly goblin who doesn't want them there.
"It's about creating a goblin that will appeal to audiences of all ages," said Matt Williams one of the producers of the film.
Gibson won visual-effects Oscars for Babe and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. He performed visual effects and second unit directing on the "Pirates" franchise and Terminator Salvation.
As he is from a visual effects background than I can imagine this looking rather nice. Sounds like it will be a good family film, but it all depends upon who they get to voice the goblin.
