The plot for Pirates of the Caribbean 4 and it's already in pre-production?

Now if this is true then it's pretty cool, but still very early days and I can't find any official confirmation as yet. Therefore, file it under rumour.

According to Flickdirect Walt Disney Studios has announced that they are now in pre-production for Pirates of The Caribbean 4, and that preliminary casting is in progress. Filming is set to begin late summer/early fall 2009.

Filming Locations include Los Angeles, Florida, The Caribbean Islands, and Ireland. Returning cast includes Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Geoffry Rush, along with newcomer Christopher Walker as Calico Jack Rackham.

The story is rumored to center around Captain Jack Sparrow's journey to a land unknown to mankind. Could it be Atlantis?

I must admit that I first read Christopher Walker as Christopher Walken which got me super excited, but then I spotted the n was actually an r. Thanks to Pam for sending me the info.

Orlando Bloom in Main Street

Here is a first look at Orlando Bloom as a police officer in Main Street. Currently filming in Durham. N.C under the direction of Tony Award winner John Doyle. The the story focuses on five characters in Durham who get caught up in a scheme to rejuvenate the town’s economy by housing nuclear waste

From the once thriving tobacco warehouses, to the current run-down and closed shops of Five Points, a diverse group of residents and their respective life changes when outsider Gus Leroy (Colin Firth) brings something new and potentially dangerous into their quiet town.

The Bad and Ugly got hold of the above photo and they have a few more posted. Thanks to Pam for sending me the link.

Main Street is the last screenplay writter by Horton Foote. He won an Oscar for the screenplay for To Kill A Mockingbird and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1995 for his play The Young Man From Atlanta. He passed away in March.

Amber Tamblyn, Ellen Burstyn, Andrew McCarthy, Patricia Clarkson and Colin Firth also star in the film.

Orlando Bloom has Sympathy for Delicious

Above is, the once an Elf always an Elf, Orlando Bloom. He's in character as a rock star in Sympathy for Delicious. Think it is a pretty bad wig to be honest and I'm not sure if I buy into him as a rock star.

It is directed by Mark Ruffalo who also stars and it is about a newly paralyzed DJ who gets more than he bargained for when he seeks out the world of faith healing.

It also stars Laura Linney, Juliette Lewis and Noah Emmerich.
