Soundwave has his voice

Back in March I mentioned that Michael Bay wanted Frank Welker to voice Soundwave in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. This was exciting news as Welker voiced Soundwave in the original cartoon. Now UGO have the following piece of news from an interview with Roberto Orci.

Jordan Hoffman: Who’s voicing Soundwave in Transformers?
Roberto Orci: Welker.
Jordan Hoffman: That’s official?
Roberto Orci: I think so.
Jordan Hoffman: Uh oh.
Roberto Orci: Might be something I just told you for the first time, but I think so.
Jordan Hoffman: Good to know

That is pretty much, almost a definite then. Welker will join Peter Cullen who is forever more the voice of Optimus Prime.

All in all the next Transformers is shaping up rather well.

How do you like them apples?
