Wolverine will be darker and Deadpool may have his own movie

Coming Soon have an interview with Lauren Shuler Donner, the producer of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. She says that the new film is closer in tone to the first X-Men movie but a little darker. Apparantly Hugh Jackman is taking the character to different places, "Well, you haven't seen this side of him. It's darker and sadder and it's kick-ass. There's a ton of action. It's really kick-ass." says Donner.

She also mentions the possibility of a Deadpool spin-off featuring Ryan Reynolds as the mad merc Wade Wilson. I really hope that they keep the madness of Deadpool in the movie (I want him to break the fourth wall like he does in the comic)

Finally, there may not be a Stan Lee cameo as they had been filming in Australia.

Wolverine is due out 1st May 2009

What do you want to see in the Wolverine movie? Does the thought of a Deadpool movie float your boat?
