Nick Fury to be in Iron Man 2

First Showing have the news that Latino Review spoke with Samuel Jackson to see if he would still be in Iron Man 2 as Nick Fury. Jackson told them that he had talked with Jon Favreau the night before and was told that Nick Fury would be involved in the sequel in a bigger way.

Fans who stuck around past the credits of Iron Man were treated to a special ending scene where Samuel Jackson donning an eye patch spoke to Tony Stark about an organization called S.H.I.E.L.D. This was cool because S.H.I.E.L.D. is the foundation of the Avengers and so much more in the Marvel universe.

In the original Marvel universe Nick Fury was a grizzled white dude with an eyepatch and white sideburns. However, in the Ultimate Marvel universe (kind of a reboot to bring new readers on board) Nick Fury was portrayed as a black dude with and eyepatch and a goatee. Then Bryan Hitch drew him in the Ultimates - that universes version of the Avengers (that's where the picture above is from) and hence Samuel Jackson being cast in the role.

I'm glad he is going to be seen a bit more in the Marvel movie-verse. What do you think of the news?
