Springfield Simpson Poster of Marvel, DC, He-Man, Watchmen and many more

Great poster by Dean over on Springfield Punx. Loads of comic book and movie characters have been Simpsonised by him. Just having a quick look at it I can see The Watchmen, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Lex Luthor, Spider-Man, Green Goblin, Captain America, He Man, Skeletor, Superman, The Joker, Venom, Marty McFly, The Silver Surfer, Napolean Dynamite, Thor, Lion-O, Namor, Stephen Colbert, Hulk, the Turtles, and many many more. Who have I missed out?

Waterworld - Longer than ever

Universal Home Entertainment will be releasing a new, extended DVD version of “Waterworld” November 4, 2008. The disk will come with both the theatrical release of the movie (which runs 136 minutes) and an extended version, which will run 177 minutes. As of right now, there is no other details about the disk ala extras, commentaries, etc.

It stars Kevin Costner, the little girl is the girl from Napolean Dynamite and Dennis Hopper is the bad guy. I really like the first part of the movie but then it all goes a bit pants. From what I remember it cost an absolute fortune to make and kind of destroyed much of the credibility Kevin Costner got from the whole Dances with Wolves.

Gentleman Broncos - News on what Napolean Dynamite's director is up to.

This sounds great. Gentleman Broncos follows the story of a kid who goes to a fantasy novel convention only to find that a well known author has stolen his idea. The author, Ronald Chevalier, is played by Jermaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and that's him on the left.

They've set up a website for the Ronald Chevalier and it is very funny. He is the author of such gems as The Chronicles of Brutus & Balzaak, Cyborg Harpies and Brain Cream. Brilliant.

Jared Hess (Napolean Dynamite) is writing and directing it. Also stars Sam Rockwell, Halley Feiffer, Michael Angarano and Jennifer Coolidge. Oh and Roger Dertinger as a Cyclops Guard!!
