George Simmons in Re-Do, Dog's Best Friend and Seyonara Dave

Craig, a workaholic lawyer, never made time for his relationships. Alone and depressed on his 40th birthday, he wonders about the life he could have lead. But be careful what you wish for...you might just find yourself in diapers! When a wizard gives Craig a second chance at his youth, he discovers that sometimes it takes becoming a baby to learn how to be a man.

These are a spoof films from Judd Apatow's Funny People. Adam Sandler plays George Simmons the comedian turned actor and the film will feature posters and clips for films he has made. An awful lot of work is going into this film. I just hope it is good.

GeorgeSimmons.com has more info on the fictional star.

Robin's Big Date - Sam Rockwell as Batman

One evening at a restaurant, Robin (played by Justin Long) works up the nerve to ask the girl of his dreams on a date. And then Batman (played by Sam Rockwell) shows up...

I've put a couple of versions of it here as they can be a bit jerky. You can download the full thing here.

Drag Me To Hell - Poster for Sam Raimi's latest horror film

Here is the new poster for Sam Raimi's latest horror film, Drag Me To Hell. Fingers crossed he's got his Evil Dead mojo working. I quite like the poster although it does seem quite Photoshoppy.

The story follows Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion?

Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home. In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?

Drag Me to Hell - Trailer for Sam Raimi's latest horror film

Director Sam Raimi returns to the horror genre with Drag Me to Hell, an original tale of a young woman's desperate quest to break an evil curse.

Hot Tub Time Machine - Dude, it sounds Sweet and John Cusack's in it! Excellent

I recently mentioned a british time travel comedy called Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel. It stars a trio of UK comedy actors playing normal blokes who are chilling out in their local pub when they stumble across a time rift and have all sorts of adventures and paradox type things happen with hilarious consequences. Make sure you check out the trailer as it looks splendid.

At the time of writing that I had totally forgotten about a screenplay that was mentioned last year. It was for a film called Hot Tub Time Machine and will star a trio of american actors playing normal blokes who are chilling out in their hot tub when they stumble upon the fact it can travel through time. I assume there will be hilarious consequences and no doubt shenanigans, malarkey and general joshing.

I don't know. You wait ages for a time travelling comedy to come along and then along come to. What are the chances.

First Showing have now mentioned that Hot Tub Time Machine is due to start filming in April and will feature a cast comprising of John Cusack, Rob Corddry, and Craig Robinson. It will be produced by MGM and directed by Steve Pink who made Accepted which was a chucklesome film starring Justin Long and the fat one from Superbad.

Battle for Terra - Trailer

The film tells the story of Senn (Justin Long) and Mala (Evan Rachel Wood), two rebellious alien teens living on the beautiful planet Terra, a place that promotes peace and tolerance, having long ago rejected war and weapons of mass destruction. But when Terra is invaded by human beings fleeing a civil war and environmental catastrophe, the planet is plunged into chaos. During the upheaval, Mala befriends an injured human pilot (Luke Wilson) and each learns the two races are not so different from one another. Together they must face the terrifying realization that in a world of limited resources, only one of their races is likely to survive.

Is it just me or does that plot have a hint of James Cameron's Avatar about it? Human befriends alien race, war etc.
