Megan Fox talks about Jonah Hex

Megan Fox has been chatting to MTV about her role in the forthcoming Warner Bros. film, Jonah Hex.

"That movie is gonna be amazing," Fox stated. "It's a post-civil war, apocalyptic type Western. The director Jimmy [Hayward] is a lunatic, and he might be a genius. From some of the things I've seen him shoot, it's a badass movie."

"They've changed her name a couple of times - it's Leila now," Fox said. "She is a prostitute. She's a good ol' working girl, and she's a love-interest to Jonah... of sorts. I mean, it's by no means a classic type of relationship."

"Her name was initially Liala, and now they changed it - or it was Layla, and now they changed it to Leila. ... All the women in the movie are prostitutes. ... [I'm] sort of a tough, no-nonsense prostitute. Like, she'll shoot you in the head if she has to. And she does!"

The film stars Josh Brolin as Jonah along with John Malkovich and Will Arnett.

Check out the photos of Brolin as Hex and more of the lovely Megan Fox.

Jonah Hex is due out on 6th August 2010

First look at Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex

After having seen some photos of the lovely Megan Fox in costume for the Jonah Hex film adaption I have been itching to see what Jonah would look like.

Now these photos of Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex have turned up (via AICN) and it is looking pretty good. He certainly looks the part and they've got the scarring almost right (I'm wondering if they may make it a little more icky in post production in a Two-Face stylee)
Will Arnett, Michael Shannon and John Malkovich also star in the film. Jimmy Hayward is directing and it is due out on 6th August 2010.
What do you think of Brolin's look? Have they got it spot on? Do you feel this will be a good adaption of the character with the people involved?

The Great Buck Howard, 2008 - Movie Review

Director: Sean McGinly
Starring: John Malkovich, Colin Hanks, Emily Blunt, Tom Hanks, Tom Arnold, Griffin Dunne
Running Time: 87 minutes
Score: 2 / 10

This review by Pamela Fruendt.

I saw a preview of THE GREAT BUCK HOWARD last night ( 3/18/09 ). The story is loosely based on the career of Master Mentalist 'The Amazing Kreskin.'

I had every anticipation of having a great evening...Great word out of Sundance. Great trailer. Free film. What could be bad about it?

Guess what? This film is so utterly disappointing. It is a cruel and demeaning look at aging performers unable to adapt to a changing world.

John Malkovich gives a moving performance as Buck Howard...After all, he is John Malkovich but he can't carry the film alone. Colin Hanks' acting is flat and uninspired giving the oh so talented Emily Blunt mere crumbs with which to work.

Even Colin's real life father, Tom Hanks, can't save this film despite a moving yet all too brief appearance .

See the film if you're a Malkovich fan...otherwise wait for cable or DVD. I've seen the Amazing Kreskin myself and this film does him a tremendous disservice.

Megan Fox has joined Jonah Hex and Fathom

Love her, hate her, want her, however you feel about Megan Fox she is certainly going to be around for a while. As well as being in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer's Body she has also signed up for two more comic book adaptions. One of which, Fathom, I mentioned back in September last year, but only now seems to have been picked up (Yaay me!) This is the Michael Turner comic book series for Aspen Comics.

Fox has signed on to star in Jonah Hex alongside of Josh Brolin and John Malkovich in Warner Brothers' adaptation of the DC Comics series. Fox will play Leila, a gun-wielding beauty and love interest of Hex, a disfigured bounty hunter who is tracking down a voodoo practitioner that wants to raise an army of undead to liberate the South. Jimmy Hayward will direct that adaptation starting in April for a August 6th, 2010 release.

In Fathom, Fox will play the lead character Aspen, who learns she is a member of a race of aquatic humanoids who possess the ability to control water.

How do they grab you? How do you rate Megan Fox? Can she carry the Fathom movie considering in the comic the lead character pretty much wears a bikini the whole time? Was that a leading question?

The Great Buck Howard - Trailer

Once upon a time, Buck Howard spent his days in the limelight. His mind-boggling feats as a mentalist extraordinaire - not to be confused with those of a mere magician - earned him a marquee act in Vegas and 61 appearances on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. In his own humble opinion, his talents go far beyond simple sleight of hand - he can read minds and hypnotize not just a single soul but an entire room of people! But nowadays, it's clear to everyone but Buck that his act has lost its luster; he performs in faded community centers and hasn't sold out a theater in years.

Yet, with a hearty handshake and a trademark "I love this town!" Buck Howard perseveres, confident in his own celebrity, convinced his comeback is imminent. He just needs a new road manager and personal assistant. As it turns out, recent law school drop-out and unemployed, would-be writer Troy Gable needs a job and a purpose. Working for the pompous, has-been mentalist fills the former requirement, but how it satisfies the latter is questionable, especially to his father, who still assumes Troy is in law school. Nonetheless, with the aid of a fiery publicist and a bold stroke of fate, Buck surprisingly lands back into the American consciousness, taking Troy along for the ride of his life. As the coveted spotlight again shines on the great Buck Howard, Buck becomes the unlikeliest of teachers as Troy learns a few tricks he couldn't possibly have picked up in law school.

The Changeling - Clint Eastwood's latest starring Angelina Jolie

In 1928, Christine Collins of Los Angeles reported her nine-year old son, Walter, as missing. In the midst of charges of corruption and negative publicity, the Los Angeles police department was desperate for a positive P.R. boost from solving the case. After much searching, they finally found a boy in DeKalb, IL claiming to be Walter, and returned him to his mother. But it wasn’t really him. This immutable fact galvanized Collins on a quest to find the truth and a battle against authorities that threatened to tear her life apart.

The Changeling is directed by the Clint Eastwood, of Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, Flags of Our Fathers, and Letters from Iwo Jima most recently. John Malkovich makes an interesting appearance as Reverend Gustav Briegleb. The script was penned by comic book writer J. Michael Straczynski, who has written numerous scripts from episodes of "Jeremiah" and "Babylon 5."

The Mutant Chronicles - Poster.

This is the latest movie from Thomas Jane. Also starring Ron Perlman, Devon Aoki and John Malkovich. Directed by Simon Hunter.
It's based on an old RPG and imdb.com states the plot as being "23rd century soldier Major Mitch Hunter (Jane) leads a fight against an army of underworld NecroMutants."
Any film starring NecroMutants has got to be good. It reminds me of Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone. Now there was a movie!
