Now the sequel is due out in 2010 but Favreau has said that won't be enough time and he wants to make sure they have the right story first. We shall have to wait and see if the release date changes and if so, whether it will have a knock on effect for the Captain America, Thor and The Avengers movie.

Iron Man 2 is safe
Good news True Believers (sorry Stan!). According to Deadline Hollywood Jon Favreau and Marvel Studios have managed to agree on a deal for Favreau to work on Iron Man 2. That's a big relief to those of us who enjoyed the first one as Favreau did a blinding job (although the final battle was a bit of a let down after the blinder of an opening). Downey Jr is onboard as he had a sequel clause in his contract.
