Alba as Barbarella

A Spanish news report indicates that Jessica Alba is going to replace Rose McGowan in the "Barbarella" remake. Duran Duran will be very happy at least. Looks as if the rumours that McGowan and Robert Rodriguez have broken up are finally confirmed with that one.

Alba is fit and all that, but she cant act for sh1t! Just eye candy for the kind of blokes who wack off to Lara Croft video games!

He has a point though - Fonda didn't really act in the original version!

And to be honest, I thought her performance in Sin City was quite good...

The original was shit..what hope is there!

Yeah her acting in Sin city was up there with Clive Owen!!!

Clive Owen, what a guy - wish he'd been picked for Bond!

Clive Owen has only been good in Children of Men. He is so wooden so would be great in the Barbarella remake. Alba is too coy for the part - she played a stripper in Sin City who didn't get the puppies out, what was that all about. The original is pants as well and I agree that no one can act in it

The original : so bad its good. Jane Fonda was a fitty and the film was pure eye candy. I hope the remake is exactly the same. I want to see JA do the space suit strip tease at the start. Come on girl..... LOL

Yeah she will get undressed and out will flop a lash!

The original Barbarella had various amounts of nudity, and Jessica Alba has stated on many occassions that she would not do that( but she has no problem with bra/panties and bikinis.

I do like JA as some serious eye candy, but Rose would definately be the better seductress and would have no problem doing nude scenes.

Too bad Robert Rodriguez was too much of an idiot to know a good thing when he had it...or maybe it's a good thing for me. Rose honey, give me a call.
