Telstar - The life and times of Joe Meek

Telstar is the stranger-than-fiction true story of legendary independent record producer Joe Meek. A maverick musical genius who wrote and recorded a string of number one hits in the early 60s, Meek famously enjoyed phenomenal early success with Telstar – the biggest selling record of its time and the first Brit band single to top the US charts. Named after the first communications satellite, which launched in 1962, the unique instrumental single was released later that same year, becoming a number one hit on both sides of the Atlantic for Meek’s band The Tornados, all from a flat on the Holloway Road. Meek went on to create the strange and wonderful recordings that have made him an iconic figure in the world of British pop, until depression, heartbreak and paranoia ultimately led to his dramatic downfall.

Telstar is directed by Nick Moran (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) and stars Con O’Neill, Nick Moran, Kevin Spacey, James Cordon, Ralph Little, JJ Feild and Pam Ferris.

It is out in UK cinemas today.

Meet the ladies from Lesbian Vampire Killers

Here are Lucy Gaskell, Silvia Colloca, Ashley Mulhern, Myanna Buring and Emer Kenny who may or maynot be lasbians and / or vampires in the new Lesbian Vampire Killers film. They all star opposite James Cordon and Mathew Horne (plus Paul McGann as a priest). I do like the scream queen style of the character posters.

The whole thing is very reminiscient of the old Hammer Horror films which, I suppose, is the point.

Lesbian Vampire Killers - New Poster - They Won't Go Down Without A Bite

Here is the new quad poster for the comedy horror Lesbian Vampire Killers. It shows the two main protagonists played by James Corden and Mathew Horne (Gavin & Stacey).

To be honest I feel that this is quite a weak poster compared to the previous one. I mean, where's Paul McGann as the Vampire killing Priest? It just feels like a poorly put together photoshop job using not very good pics of the main stars in it.

Don't get me wrong. I think the film will be pretty good. Just thinkg the poster is a bit of a waste. It's out on the 20th March. Check out the trailer.

Lesbian Vampire Killers - New Photos

Dread Central had the photos for the comedy horror, Lesbian Vampire Killers.

The film stars the “Gavin & Stacey” one-two punch of James Corden and Matthew Horne, playing two guys looking to get away for a weekend of debauchery only to come face-to-fang with a village overrun by hot lesbian vampires! Plus it's got Paul McGann in it as a cool looking priest.

Have a look at the trailer if you haven't already seen it.
