Gort 2.0

I've had a few people asking me for more info about what Gort is going to look like in the new The Day the Earth Stood Still movie. Well ask no more as this is the tiny bit you see of him in the new trailer. Promising? Maybe.
What do you think?

It looks like a trailer for modern crap. Sacrilege! Re-making a true classic like TDETESS is just wrong! Robert Wise and Bernard Herrmann would be turning in their graves!!! Imagine this film without the acting gravitas of Michael Rennie. Reeves as Klaatu??? Forget about it!!! He's not a patch on the enigmatic persona of Michael Rennie.

There will be no theremin music soundtrack...no total "otherworldness" in the obviously "modernised" (read: souless) soundtrack. Herrman's soundtrack helped to make the original film an all time instant classic.

I could have accepted a "sequel" with, perhaps, another emissary from Klaatu's race or even Klaatuu himself returning but a remake? Never!!! Murdoch/Fox...you should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

"Gort, Betta baringa tissues 'causa I'm nikka offa outa da theatre!!!
