Andrew Barker, director of Straw Man (check out my interview with him), just got in touch to let me know about the poster for the new film he is working on, Despair.It stars David Hess (Last House on the Left) as Lou, an American living in England who has a chance encounter with Meredith, a young girl travelling across Europe. She finds herself in a small English village, tired, weary and far from home. Meredith enters a local pub and finds herself talking to a fellow American - Lou, a seemingly ordinary man. But Lou isn’t all he seems to be; a darkly sinister mind lurks beneath this mundane appearance. Meredith is about walk into his trap.
