Longtime stunts stalwart Zoe Bell came into her own as an actress in “Death Proof,” Quentin Tarantino’s half of 2007’s retro-tastic “Grindhouse” double-feature, but her geek cred looks to keep piling up with a starring role in “Angel of Death,” the upcoming, live-action online series created by comics scribe Ed Brubaker (”Sleeper“).
The first trailer for the series debuted this week on Sony Pictures’ online channel Crackle.com, and along with Bell, it features many faces familiar to genre fans — including Doug Jones (”Hellboy I/II“), Lucy Lawless (”Xena”) and Ted Raimi (”Spider-Man“).

In the series, which will be composed of 8-10 episodes released over 10 weeks, Bell plays a mafia assassin who suffers a catastrophic head wound and subsequently decides to kill the people who once ordered her to kill others. We first spoke to Brubaker back in August about the series, and he shared some details about what viewers can expect when the first episode of “Angel of Death” debuts in 2009.
