Funny you mention lightsabers as J J Abrams has said he wants the new Trek to have the excitement and adventure you felt when you first went to see Star Wars:A New Hope.
It looks too dated.... it just looks like actors dressed up at a startrek convention rather than characters from a movie.. bah wheres my lightsaber!
