Variety have reported that Robert Downey Jr has signed up to play Sherlock Holmes in the movie Guy Ritchie will be directing for Warner Bros. (Guess this could be why Madonna has suddenly denied any reports of divorce as her husband is moving into the big leagues).
Shooting will begin in October on a script by Anthony Peckham.
This is going to be based on the Arthur Conan Doyle stories and is nothing to do with the Sherlock Holmes movie starring Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell.
